The Spring Media agency has appointed Tobias Osmund as its new chief executive.
Osmund has worked in the media industry for more than 20 years, most recently for the Associated Press new agency.
Headquartered in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, Spring Media also has regional offices in Hamburg, Germany; Astana, Kazakhstan; Bangkok, Thailand; and Mexico City, Mexico.
The agency owns, manages and distributes rights to various major sports events, including the Olympic Games in Central Asia, the International Gymnastics Federation’s (FIG) World Cup series and World Taekwondo’s World Championship and Grand Prix series.
Spring Media chairman Staffan Rosell said: “The appointment of Tobias Osmund is a very exciting step for Spring Media and marks the start of a strategic move focused on accelerated company growth.”
