PPTV proposes rights-sharing approach

Chinese streaming platform PPTV has opened the door to sharing sports rights with other broadcasters.

According to the Yutang Sports news website, Gu Wei, the vice-president of Suning Commerce Group, PPTV’s parent company, made the announcement at the launch of PPTV’s new internet-connected television.

The report said that PPTV would share rights with partners that are television set manufacturers.

PPTV has rights for football’s Chinese Super League and Asian Football Confederation Champions League (pictured), as well as the English Premier League and Spanish LaLiga.
