Eleven Sports picks up World Judo Championships rights

International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has acquired rights in Belgium, Luxembourg and the United States to the 2017 and 2018 editions of the World Judo Championships.

Eleven will show live and exclusive coverage of the events in the three countries and will also hold non-exclusive rights in Italy, where pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports also holds rights.

Eleven has been broadcasting the 2017 edition since it began in the Hungarian capital of Budapest on Monday. The event runs until September 3.

Eleven will also show the 2018 event, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

In addition, Eleven will show exclusive coverage of the International Judo Federation’s World Tour in 2017 and 2018 in the same territories.
