OTT service DAZN has agreed a one-season extension to its rights deal for the Basketball Champions League in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The European club competition’s 2018-19 season will be show exclusively by DAZN in Germany and Austria, with the service holding non-exclusive rights in Switzerland.
DAZN will focus its coverage on the four German Bundesliga teams in the competition: Brose Bamberg, Riesen Ludwigsburg, Telekom Baskets Bonn and Medi Bayreuth. DAZN will show matches of the German teams in the group stage, knockout phase and Final Four, along with other showpiece games.
