Oscaro furthers motorsport ties with WTCR deal

The newly-formed World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) has named online automotive spare parts retailer Oscaro as its new presenting partner.

The agreement will run for two years and was brokered by Eurosport Events, the promoter of the WTCR.

The WTCR was launched in December following a licensing agreement between the World Touring Car Championship and TCR series.

Oscaro was an official partner of the WTCC during the 2016 and 2017 seasons and its sponsorship of the WTCR extends its relationship with Eurosport Events.

Pierre-Noël Luiggi, chief executive of Oscaro, said: “Becoming the title partner of the WTCR was a straightforward decision for us. This partnership embodies the real spirit of the Oscaro brand and its true love of real competition. We are very excited by the new dimension of our partnership with Eurosport Events and we can bet the series will be very popular with touring car fans around the world.”

The inaugural WTCR season gets underway in Marrakech, Morocco on April 7-8.
