New messaging app title sponsors MotoGP’s Austrian race

Soon-to-launch messaging app eyetime has been named as the title sponsor of this year’s MotoGP motorcycling event in Austria.

The race, which takes place at the Red Bull Ring in the Styrian Alps from August 10-12, will officially be known as the eyetime Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.

The eyetime app is due to launch later this year and will be available for Android and iOS devices.

Meglena Krumova, eyetime chief executive, said: “In this age of digitisation, users wish to have innovative apps at their disposal which not only offer them some individual features, but open up a whole world of possibilities. eyetime is so versatile that it makes all other apps redundant, and the Austrian GP is the perfect place to showcase it – with the same push for innovation and efficiency driving both eyetime and MotoGP.”

Pau Serracanta, managing director at Dorna Sports, Moto GP’s promoter, added: “As MotoGP continues to push boundaries on track, we are also always looking for partners with whom we share a vision of the future. It is fantastic news that eyetime will take top billing as title sponsor for the Austrian GP.”
