Miami Open – presented by Itaú for another five years

Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco has extended its presenting sponsorship with the Miami Open for another five years.

Under a new deal until 2024, the tournament will continue to be billed as the ‘Miami Open presented by Itaú’.

Itaú, the largest privately-owned bank in Latin America, has sponsored the Miami Open since 2009, and took over as presenting sponsor in 2014.

Previously, from 2007 to 2013, Sony was the Title Sponsor of the competition, initially under its Sony Ericsson mobile phone brand and later under parent company Sony Corporation.

For next year’s tournament in March 2019, the Miami Open will vacate its current site at Crandon Park and move to the Hard Rock Stadium, a multi-purpose venue and home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team.

The Hard Rock Stadium’s tennis facilities are still under construction, but when finished, it will have 30 practice and competitive courts. an additional 2,700 parking spaces, improved Wi-Fi and media facilities, and more locker rooms and fitness space for players and staff.
