Engineering company MRV has struck a shirt sponsorship deal with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Flamengo.
The three-year agreement will run to the end of 2018, with various reports in the Brazilian media valuing the deal at R16m (€4.6m/$5m).
MRV branding will now appear on the back of Flamengo’s playing jerseys.
The company already has commercial partnerships with Serie A teams Atlético-MG, Santa Cruz and América-MG, and also has deals in place across other sports such as volleyball, basketball and tennis.
