EF Education First extends Olympic commitment with PyeongChang 2018 deal

International education company EF Education First has furthered its connection to the Olympic Movement by entering into a partnership with the PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter Games.

EF has been named an official sponsor of the Games in the education services sector. The contract is in the tier-two category of PyeongChang 2018’s sponsor portfolio.

The company will help educate Korean students of all ages, as well as teachers, on the values and ideals of the Olympics in the run-up to the 2018 Games.

Yang-ho Cho, president of POCOG, said: “It is significant to have a sponsor for the education services category to create a sustainable legacy for PyeongChang 2018. Pyeonchang 2018 will work with EF to promote the value of Olympic education and also EF’s brand in Korea.”

Established in 1965 in Sweden, EF Education First is a partner of the forthcoming 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and has also supported previous Olympics including Seoul 1988, Beijing 2008 and Sochi 2014.
