Energy company Axion has been named as the title sponsor of the Superliga Argentina, the new top tier of domestic club football.
The length of the agreement was not disclosed but it will at least cover the 2017-18 season, which began at the weekend.
The Superliga has replaced the Primera División as Argentina’s premier club football competition. Axion also held naming rights to the Primera División.
As well as title sponsoring the Superliga, Axion will benefit from promotion during Fox and Turner’s broadcasts of the competition.
