TSA brokers Sky New Zealand and Fight Channel deals for AIBA Open Boxing

The TSA agency has brokered deals in New Zealand and a host of eastern European markets for the AIBA Open Boxing.

Pay-television broadcaster Sky New Zealand and European satellite and cable television channel the Fight Channel will cover AOB events throughout 2015 and 2016.

Sky will broadcast the 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championship, which takes place in Doha, Qatar, in October, along with the ASBC Men’s Olympic Qualifying event for the Asia/Oceania zone, which takes place in March 2016.

The Fight Channel has also acquired rights for Doha 2015 and will cover the EUBC European Confederation Championship, which takes place next month. Fight Channel’s deal covers Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

The International Boxing Association, AIBA, is the sport’s global governing body. In March it renewed its media partnership with TSA for Open Boxing.

TSA is distributing the global media rights to AIBA Open Boxing in 2015 and 2016 having done so since 2010.
