Hydraulic and industrial hose and fitting products manufacturer Pirtek has signed an extension to its principal sponsor agreement with the New Zealand Rugby League governing body.
The new deal is for three years, running from 2015 to 2017, and ensures Pirtek will retain the main branding space on the New Zealand men’s national team jersey for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
New Zealand is the co-host for the next edition of the national team tournament alongside Australia. Pirtek has sponsored New Zealand at three previous World Cups, including its triumphant 2008 campaign.
Pirtek will continue to support NZRL’s youth rugby and volunteer programmes, investing in scholarships for junior players within the national governing body’s academy system.
The financial terms of Pirtek’s renewal with NZRL were not disclosed.
