British Basketball League team the Newcastle Eagles has agreed sponsorship deals with local shopping centres intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square for the 2016-17 season.
intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square, both of which are owned and operated by retail group Intu Properties, will benefit from a branding presence on court-side advertising boards inside the team’s Sport Central arena.
Both shopping centres will also work with the team on a number of supporter initiatives, such as staging hoop shoot out competitions and coaching sessions at the intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square during the season.
In addition, the intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square will provide the prizes for the team’s ‘Chuck A Duck’ game.
Newcastle Eagles play Manchester Giants tomorrow (Friday) in the opening game of the 2016-17 season.
