AMC Networks International drives away with F1 rights in Czech and Slovak markets

AMC Networks International, the global division of US entertainment company AMC Networks, has acquired the exclusive rights to the Formula One motor racing championship in the Czech Republic and Slovakia through its AMC Networks International – Central Europe arm.

The three-year deal takes in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 F1 seasons. The Sport1 and Sport2 channels will show live coverage of all races and qualifying sessions, along with those of F1 support series, GP2 and GP3.

Evzen Chlandla, AMC Networks International – Central Europe’s country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, said: “With all these highly popular programs, our sports channels will continue to be among the strongest and most attractive thematic television brands.

“Our production team will again provide a great viewing experience for the F1 fans. Besides live coverage, there will be highlights and a pit-lane reporter to provide further exclusive content.”
