Adidas strikes deal with Harlequins

English Premiership rugby union club Harlequins has agreed a three-year kit partnership, from 2014-15 to 2016-17, with German sportswear company Adidas.

Adidas will manufacture and supply the team’s home, away and training kit, in addition to the club’s ‘big game’ shirt for its annual Christmas holiday season match at English rugby’s national stadium, Twickenham.

The deal comes shortly after Harlequins sealed a five-year deal with DHL for the logistics company to become its new main sponsor, replacing Etihad Airways in the role.

Harlequins commercial director James Kendall said: “Adidas will bring creativity, choice and quality to our match day, training and replica kits which we have spent considerable time and effort working on.”

Harlequins finished fourth in the 2013-14 Premiership season, losing 31-17 to Saracens in the play-off semi-finals.
