TSN, the Canadian sports broadcaster majority-owned by the Bell Media group, acquired live rights for the Belmont Stakes horse race in a three-year deal, from 2012 to 2014, with rights-holder NBCUniversal Television Canada.
TSN’s live coverage of the race under the new deal began with this year’s event, which took place on June 9.
The Belmont Stakes is the third and final race of the Triple Crown series, which includes the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
