VG extends backing of Norwegian football

Norwegian newspaper VG has extended its sponsorship deal with Norges Fotballforbund (NFF), football’s governing body in the country.

Under the new three-year contract, VG will continue to sponsor match officials across men’s and women’s domestic club competitions.

It will also have extensive branding presence at Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadion, the home of the Norwegian national team and final of the Cupen, the main knockout club tournament in Norway.

NFF commercial director Erik Loe (pictured) said: “VG has a unique position as Norway’s largest website, with a significant audience that coincides with our own. The new agreement continues access to VG’s advertising areas.

“The value of communicating with this target group is of course great and is particularly important for us in the effort to create awareness about our international campaigns.”
