Under Armour makes long-term University of Hawaii commitment

The athletics division of the University of Hawaii has entered into a long-term partnership extension with US sportswear manufacturer Under Armour.

The five-year deal names Under Armour as the official outfitter of the university’s 21 varsity intercollegiate athletic programs until June 2022.

The partnership brings together Hawaii’s sports teams under one brand for the first time, with programs having previously been contracted individually.

Under Armour will provide apparel, footwear, equipment and game-day uniforms for the university’s men’s and women’s varsity athletics teams as part of the agreement.

The partnership also grants Under Armour integration across the university's marketing and social media channels, as well as an in-store presence and activations at grassroots level.

Under Armour first partnered with Hawaii in 2008, initially providing apparel for the university’s American football team. It has since supplied kit for Hawaii’s softball, baseball, football, swimming and diving, track and field, and men’s basketball outfits.

Under Armour’s roster of National Collegiate Athletic Association programs also includes UCLA, University of California, Berkeley, University of Wisconsin, the University of Notre Dame, Naval Academy Athletic Association, University of Maryland, Texas Tech University, Northwestern University, University of Cincinnati, Boston College, University of Utah and Auburn University.
