The Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts series has entered into a partnership with Australian gaming and gambling group Tabcorp.
The multi-year deal names Tabcorp as the official betting and wagering partner of UFC in Australia. The company will also serve as the presenting sponsor of all UFC live events held in the country.
As part of the agreement, all athletes competing in Australian UFC events will feature the Tabcorp logo on their fight kit. The company will also benefit from ringside branding and television exposure, as well as promotion across UFC’s digital and social media channels.
“Tab.com.au is proud to be the first Australian-owned and operated UFC partner,” Tabcorp chief operating officer for wagering and media, Craig Nugent, said. “This partnership reflects UFC’s growing popularity among our customers.”
The first event to be covered by the deal will be Luke Rockhold’s headlining fight against Jacare Souza on November 27 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
