UFC opens new sponsorship category with Trifecta deal

Mixed martial arts organisation the Ultimate Fighting Championship has opened up a new sponsorship category by partnering with all-organic meal delivery service Trifecta Nutrition.

The multi-year deal will see Trifecta serve as UFC’s first-ever official meal delivery partner.

The company will benefit from a branded presence at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, along with holding activation rights at live UFC events.

UFC will also work with Trifecta to create a co-branded video series and social media campaigns, while the two parties will create custom delivery boxes and promote national sweepstakes for UFC events.

“UFC is the ideal partner to help us evangelise clean eating and further spread the word about the weight management advantages of healthy meal prep and meal delivery with Trifecta,” Greg Connolly, Trifecta co-founder and chief executive, said.

“We have the opportunity to showcase our true value to the fans of UFC with some of the exciting programs we are rolling out together in the coming months.”

UFC first worked with Trifecta last November at UFC 217: Bisping vs. St-Pierre at New York’s Madison Square Garden, where a co-branded training and nutrition video featuring former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt was unveiled.

Garbrandt (pictured) is a Trifecta brand ambassador and will face TJ Dillashaw in a rematch for the UFC bantamweight title at Los Angeles’ Staples Center tomorrow (Saturday).
