TLN secures Olympic rights in Canada

Canadian multi-lingual media company Telelatino Network (TLN) has agreed a deal with public-service broadcaster CBC for rights to the next two editions of the Olympic Games.

TLN will provide Italian and Spanish coverage of next month’s winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and the 2020 summer Games in Tokyo. TLN will also broadcast Portuguese coverage of Tokyo 2020.

During Pyeongchang 2018, TLN will provide coverage of one game per day from the men’s or women’s ice hockey tournaments in Italian and Spanish. Daily encore broadcasts and daily highlights will also be aired during the Games, which run from February 9-25.

TLN’s Pyeongchang 2018 coverage begins with the women’s ice hockey game between South Korea and Japan, and culminates in the men’s gold medal match.

Coverage of Tokyo 2020 will include selected football broadcasts in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
