Sportkanalen, the new sports channel that has been launched by Swedish pay-television broadcaster C More, has acquired rights for the North American NBA basketball league.
Sportkanalen will show live coverage of games every Sunday evening, starting with the clash between the San Antonio Spurs and the Indiana Pacers this weekend.
Sportkanalen said that it will start off by broadcasting one or two games each Sunday evening and will show more games during the play-offs.
The channel will also broadcast the weekly NBA Action magazine programme, including highlights of the league.
Sportkanalen launched earlier this month as part of C More’s Standard Sport package, which costs KR199 (€20.70/$24.60) per month.
