German sports broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for this year’s editions of the Fifa Confederations Cup and the Uefa Under-21 European Championship national team football tournaments.
Sport1 will broadcast live coverage of three games during the Confederations Cup, which takes place in Russia from June 17 to July 2.
Sport1’s coverage will begin with the match between Portugal and Mexico on June 18.
Meanwhile, Sport1 will also broadcast live a number of matches from the Under-21 Championship, which will run from June 16-30 in Poland.
Sport1 will show a number of group games that do not involve the Germany team, as well as at least one semi-final not featuring Germany. Sport1 will also broadcast live coverage of the final, should the Germany Under-21 team not progress to this stage of the tournament.
In addition to television broadcasts, Sport1 will feature additional coverage of both competitions, including highlights on its official website and mobile application.
