Italian sportswear company Macron has entered into a partnership with SPAL Ferrara, which recently won promotion to the country’s Serie A top division of club football.
The deal will run for four years, from the 2017-18 season through to the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Macron will serve as the club’s technical sponsor and will produce all playing and training kit for the team.
The firm already has partnerships in place with Serie A teams Bologna, Cagliari and Lazio. Earlier this week, Macron also secured a deal with the Italian Rugby Federation.
SPAL Ferrara won promotion to Serie A after finishing top of the 2016-17 Serie B second-tier. The club has not played in the Italian top flight in 49 years.
