Sao Paulo agrees Globo rights deal

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football club Sao Paulo is poised to agree a rights deal with media company Globo.

The six-year deal for free-to-air and pay-per-view rights will cover the period spanning 2019 to 2024.

The deal has been approved by the club’s board of directors. It will now pass to a council meeting, where it is expected to be rubber-stamped.

Sao Paulo sealed a deal for its pay-television rights with SporTV in 2016.
