Golf cart manufacturer Club Car has renewed its partnership with the Ryder Cup Europe team, with the fresh agreement set to cover the 2018 edition of the event.
Club Car serves as the official supplier of the European Tour and will provide a fleet of vehicles comprising golf carts, utility and transporter vehicles for the 2018 tournament, which will be held at Le Golf National in the French capital of Paris.
The fleet will include vehicles that will be used by event officials, television production teams and staging staff. Specially equipped cars will also be developed for the captains and vice-captains of Team Europe and Team USA.
Club Car’s association with the Ryder Cup stretches back to 1997. Richard Hills, director of Ryder Cup Europe, said: “The quality of their product, their commitment to excellence in everything they do, and their understanding of the unique demands of this great event, makes them an ideal partner to deliver such a mission critical service.”
The new deal comes ahead of the 2016 Ryder Cup, which will be staged at Hazeltine National Golf Club in the US state of Minnesota from September 30 to October 2. Team Europe is looking for its fourth consecutive victory over the US.
