The PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter Games (POCOG) has agreed a sponsorship deal with Korean oil refinery S-Oil.
Under the agreement, S-Oil will provide oil products for vehicles used to transport athletes and officials during the Games, which will take place from February 9-25.
S-Oil, which has been named an official sponsor of the Games in the oil category, will also be granted a range of marketing rights, including the use of intellectual properties and the official Games logo.
“We decided to sponsor the event in order to lend support, though small, to such a big national event as a responsible member of society,” S-Oil chief executive Nasser Al-Mahasher said.
