UK-pay television broadcaster Premier Sports has acquired rights to the International Champions Cup pre-season club football tournament and the Irish national rugby union team’s summer tour matches.
Premier Sports will show live coverage of the ICC, which features various teams from some of Europe’s top leagues playing matches at venues around the world. This year’s ICC runs from July 18-30.
English Premier League clubs Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all due to feature.
Coverage will include Arsenal’s match against German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, as well as Chelsea’s games against Bayern and Serie A club Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Premier Sports will also broadcast live coverage of Ireland’s summer Test matches to audiences in the UK on an exclusive basis.
Premier Sports will show coverage of the game against the US in New Jersey on June 10, as well as the clashes with Japan in Shizuoka on June 17 and in Tokyo on June 24.
Earlier this week, Irish pay-television broadcaster Eir Sport picked up rights in the country to all three matches on the summer tour.
