Play Sports Network commences expansion plan with Spanish-language channel

Digital media company Play Sports Network has launched its first non-English language channel as part of what it states will be a major internationalisation plan.

GCN en Español will be a Spanish-language version of its road cycling channel, Global Cycling Network, and will begin posting content from July 16.

It will be the seventh channel on video-sharing platform YouTube under the PSN banner. GCN en Español will feature many Spanish-language equivalents of the favourite shows and content strands of GCN, including features, How To, Top 10, GCN Show en Español, Maintenance and more.

Global and local race content will soon become a regular feature, starting with what PSN claims will be a unique take on the Tour de France.

Former Pro Tour rider Óscar Pujol (pictured) has been named as the first presenter for the new channel, with PSN set to open a studio in the Spanish city of Girona.
