Philadelphia 76ers land first international partner

NBA basketball franchise the Philadelphia 76ers has agreed a sponsorship deal with Australian meat products manufacturer Four’N Twenty.

The multi-year deal marks the 76ers’ first international partnership.

Four’N Twenty pointed to the 76ers’ strong Australian links as a reason for partnering with the club, whose forward Ben Simmons (pictured) was born in Melbourne and plays for the Australian national team. Head coach Brett Brown has also served as Australia’s assistant coach in the past.

“We love the strong connections this team has to Australia, with coach Brett Brown and Ben Simmons,” a Four'N Twenty company spokesperson said, according to the Forbes website. “Watch the fans be animated when the iconic Four'N Twenty red and yellow logo lights up the 76ers' massive stadium home screen.”

Forbes said that Four’N Twenty would serve as the presenter of the 76ers’ Australian Heritage Night on January 24. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Australia, while a beef pie eating contest and product sampling will also be organised at Wells Fargo Center.

Four’N Twenty pies will be on sale at Wells Fargo Center throughout the season as part of the agreement.
