PGA Tour ploughs on with John Deere

Agricultural, construction, and forestry machine manufacturer John Deere has extended a sponsorship deal with golf’s PGA Tour.

The agreement will run for seven years, from 2017 to 2023.

As part of a broader partnership, John Deere will continue to serve as the title sponsor of the annual John Deere Classic tournament in Illinois, US.

“This sponsorship has significant impact in many important areas for John Deere,” said James Field, president of the company’s worldwide agriculture and turf division. “The agreement helps our company sell equipment, build relationships with customers and dealers, and promote the John Deere brand worldwide.”

The two parties have an existing six-year deal that will expire at the end of 2016.
