Peugeot gears up new global ATP partnership

The Association of Tennis Professionals, which operates the top professional men’s tennis tour, has signed a new global partnership with automotive manufacturer Peugeot.

The length of the agreement, which will begin in 2016, was not disclosed.

Peugeot will be the official car of the ATP World Tour, with a fleet of 500 vehicles supporting the tour worldwide. Peugeot will serve as a platinum partner of the tour as well as the official car at more than 20 tournaments.

Peugeot has been involved in tennis for more than three decades, and counts ATP World No.1 Novak Djokovic, as well as the likes of David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro, David Goffin, Jeremy Chardy, Benoit Paire, Tommy Robredo and Gilles Simon among its ambassadors.

“Peugeot has a rich history in our sport and this long-term partnership with the ATP World Tour will cement their position as the preeminent car brand in tennis,” ATP executive chairman and president Chris Kermode said. “As we witness record audiences worldwide, we’re delighted to attract such a reputable international brand as Peugeot and welcome them to our growing portfolio of partners.”
