French media company AB Groupe has acquired rights to esports competition the Overwatch League.
The length of the deal was not disclosed, but AB Groupe will broadcast Overwatch coverage via its Esport Zone programme on pay-television channel AB1.
Along with France, AB Groupe will also provide coverage of the Overwatch League in Monaco, Andorra, the French-speaking regions of Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Mauritius and Madagascar, as well as in French overseas territories.
Formed by Blizzard Entertainment, a division of US video game developer Activision Blizzard, the Overwatch League commenced its first season in January.
