Nigerian Football Federation secures latest sponsor

The Nigerian Football Federation has agreed a deal with the Simba Group, through which TVS will become the official motorcycle and tricycle partner of the men’s national team.

The deal will run for two years and has been signed ahead of this summer’s Fifa World Cup in Russia, where Nigeria has been drawn alongside Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in Group D.

The deal continues the NFF’s recent sponsorship drive, with the body having linked up with Aiteo Group, Coca-Cola, Wapic Insurance, Nigerian Breweries and Cadbury in the past 12 months.

NFF president Amaju Melvin Pinnick said: “We are partnering with the Simba Group with the objective of truly taking football to the grassroots. Scores of millions of football-passionate Nigerians use the motorcycle and the tricycle, and this is a conscious effort to reach them with the message they love so much.

“It is a two-year agreement, but our delight is that the Simba Group have committed to actively driving the engagement and promotion of the game at the grassroots. In return, they will have access to our programmes and can also use the images of our national team players on their cycles.”
