NFL’s Falcons sign up Coca-Cola for new stadium

Soft drinks giant Coca-Cola has agreed a deal to become a founding partner of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the new home of NFL American football franchise the Atlanta Falcons.

Under the agreement, the terms of which were undisclosed, Coca-Cola will serve as the exclusive non-alcoholic beverage partner of the stadium, the Falcons and Atlanta United, the latest expansion franchise in North America’s Major League Soccer that will also play its home games at the new venue.

Upon its completion in June 2017, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium will exclusively serve Coca-Cola products at its 673 food and beverage points of sale, as well as across a network of self-service kiosks.

The company joins a host of other founding partners such as the Home Depot, IBM, SunTrust, NCR and Novelis.

Coca-Cola brokered the deal with AMB Sports & Entertainment, which operates the new stadium as well as both the Falcons and United sports teams.
