NBA maintains distribution partnership with Eurovision

North American basketball league the NBA has extended its distribution agreement with Eurovision, the European Broadcasting Union's production arm.

Eurovision will transmit live NBA games, cable and satellite television channel NBA TV and other NBA programming to the league’s international television and digital media partners through to the end of the 2021-22 season.

Eurovision and the NBA began their partnership in 2012 and the league’s broadcast partners will continue to be served by the Eurovision Global Network available throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.  

Eurovision will also set up the contribution satellite uplinks from the venues for the preseason NBA China Games 2017 taking place in Shenzhen and Shanghai in October, as well as the regular-season game at the O2 Arena in London in January.

The first NBA programming that Eurovision will transmit as part of the new deal will be the NBA China Games when the Golden State Warriors meet the Minnesota Timberwolves in Shenzhen on October 5 and Shanghai on October 8. 

The first NBA regular-season game will be on the opening night of the 2017-18 NBA season on October 17, when the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Boston Celtics in a rematch of the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals.
