Nascar tools up with Ingersoll Rand

Global power tools company Ingersoll Rand has expanded its long-term association with North American stock-car racing series Nascar by entering into a new multi-year partnership.

Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Ingersoll’s products will become the official power tools of Nascar.

Ingersoll will also become an official partner of the International Motorsports Association and a contingency sponsor of the Nascar Sprint Cup Series and Nascar Touring & Weekly Series.

As part of the deal, Ingersoll will be in attendance at each Nascar weekend race to offer tool support, service and demonstrations, with fans able to try its products first-hand. The firm will also launch the ‘Home Tracks Text-to-Win’ contest, which will give fans the chance to win meet-and-greets with Nascar personalities.

In addition, as part of the contingency sponsor arrangement, Ingersoll will reward the work of pit crew mechanics during the Nascar Sprint Cup with various prize money and tool give-aways.

Ingersoll has a long association with the series having been present in Nascar garages for more than 50 years.
