MLS signs first audio sponsor

Audio products manufacturer JLab Audio has agreed a deal to become the first official audio partner of North America’s Major League Soccer.

The league has agreed a multi-year deal with the California-based company. JLab will benefit from brand exposure during pre-game warm-ups, and the company will work with players to access wireless products.

Further promotion will be provided through field-level signage in nationally-televised matches and curated custom athlete playlists that will be hosted on MLS channels.

As part of the agreement, JLab will offer fans the chance to win a trip to the 2018 MLS All-Star Game in Atlanta, along with other prizes, through the #FINDYOURGOAL sweepstakes at jlabaudio.com/mls.

Each member of the 2017 MLS Cup championship team will also receive a yet-to-be-released pair of Epic Sport Wireless Earbuds in an exclusive new colour, JLab blue.

Carter Ladd, vice-president of business development at MLS, said. “This (deal) is an example of two growing, increasingly relevant brands partnering to continue their upward trajectory. We look forward to working with our new partners at JLab for many years to come.”

The deal has been signed ahead of this Saturday’s MLS Cup final between Toronto FC and Seattle Sounders.

JLab will also become an official partner of MLS franchise the LA Galaxy. JLab will have exclusive opportunities at the team’s home ground, StubHub Center, including a branded DJ booth for fans to use pre-game. Digital signage will also be provided on the StubHub Center scoreboard and at field level.
