MLS signs Chinese streaming partnership

North America’s Major League Soccer has agreed a streaming partnership with sports marketing agency China Sports Media.

The two-year deal will result in live streaming coverage of selected MLS matches in China for the first time. The action will be showcased on the K-Ball and PPTV streaming services.

K-Ball will stream at least three MLS regular-season matches per week, with PPTV to cover one match per week, as well as the MLS All-Star Game, Decision Day, MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup.

Weekly highlights and other league-related content will also be made available on the two platforms.

Gary Stevenson, president and managing director of MLS Business Ventures, said: “China is a priority market, and we are confident that CSM will help expand our presence in the region and deliver MLS content to fans throughout the country.”
