McLaren-Honda signs up with Amazon Prime, Star Sports

Formula One motor-racing team McLaren-Honda has entered into content partnerships with Amazon Prime, the subscription service operated by e-commerce and media company Amazon, and Indian pay-television broadcaster Star Sports.

McLaren-Honda will work with Amazon Prime to create a documentary series about the team’s 2017 season.

Content will include behind-the-scenes video coverage of the development of the team’s new race car, as well as an insight into the life of driver Stoffel Vandoorne. The multi-part series will be a global release exclusive to Amazon Prime and will be made available in over 200 countries where Amazon Prime is active.

Separately, Star Sports has been appointed as a corporate partner of the team and will produce a range of exclusive video content.

Star Sports and McLaren-Honda will work together to create bespoke content for the broadcaster’s various television and digital channels. In addition, Star Sports branding will appear on the overalls of McLaren-Honda drivers throughout the 2017 season.
