The World Squash Federation (WSF) has awarded hosting rights to Malaysia for the 2019 edition of its World Junior Championships.
The event will take place at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur, the site of squash’s Commonwealth Games debut in 1998.
The event will comprise the Women’s World Junior Team Championship from August 5-9 and the Men’s & Women’s World Junior Individual Championships from July 30 to August 4.
Next year will mark the third time that Malaysia has been the site of the women’s junior team event, with Kuala Lumpur having hosted in 1993 and Penang staging the 2001 edition.
The tournament takes place every two years and was last staged in New Zealand in July 2017. Egypt won the event for the sixth time in a row.
