Land Rover steps up backing of equestrian showpiece

The North American division of British multi-purpose vehicle manufacturer Land Rover has extended its partnership with the United States Equestrian Federation and agreed a title sponsorship deal for the Kentucky Three-Day Event.

Land Rover North America’s new three-year deal with the federation runs until 2020.

Land Rover will also title sponsor the Kentucky Three-Day Event from 2018 to 2021. The event will be rebranded as the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event.

Land Rover has spent eight years as the official vehicle of the event and five years as presenting sponsor. The event is one of only six four-star, three-day events in the world and the only one in the western hemisphere, attracting over 80,000 spectators each year and holding a $400,000 (€339,000) prize fund.

As part of Land Rover’s continued support of the event, the ‘Ultimate Stable Experience’ will return next year. The experience will feature a range of equestrian apparel and equipment with live farrier displays. The Land Rover Tailgate Challenge will also continue to be held, while a selection of Land Rover’s latest vehicles will be on display.

Next year’s Kentucky Three-Day Event takes place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington from April 26-29.
