The Lagardère Sports Germany division of the sports marketing agency has applied for a licence to establish a new streaming service for sports fans.
According to the Broadband TV News website, the application was filed with the MA HSH, the Hamburg-based media regulator, with the KEK media competition watchdog having already reportedly cleared the deal.
The streaming service has the working title Lagardère Sports and will only show live sports coverage, according to the KEK.
