African pay-television broadcaster Kwesé TV has launched its sports service in Nigeria.
Kwesé TV will be offered as a ‘pay-as-you-watch’ service, with consumers in the country able to purchase subscription passes for three, seven or 30 days.
The Kwesé TV satellite dish and set-top box will retail in Nigeria at a combined price of N10,960 (€26/$30), according to the RapidTVNews website. The subscription service starts at N990.
Operated by telecommunications company Econet Media, Kwesé TV broadcasts coverage of major sports competitions such as football’s English Premier League and North America’s NBA basketball league and NFL American football league.
