ITTF signs streaming partnership with Twitter

The International Table Tennis Federation has agreed a partnership for social media platform Twitter to live stream its 2018 Challenge Series on a global basis.

Twitter’s coverage will complement the service provided by the ITTF’s current streaming platform, itTV.

After a successful live stream of the Slovenia Open attracted over 200,000 viewers on Twitter, a live stream of tournaments from Thailand, Nigeria, Belgium and Belarus will now be provided live and free to Twitter users around the world.

The live streams of all Challenge Series matches will be available to logged-in and logged-out users on Twitter and connected devices via the ITTF’s official Twitter account – @ITTFWorld.

Twitter will also feature additional premium highlights from each tournament. Both the live streams and highlight clips on Twitter will be available to content sponsors to include pre-roll advertising packages.

Twitter’s coverage will commence with the Thailand Open, which takes place in Bangkok from May 16-20.
