IPL teams sign new partners for 2017 season

Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket franchises Kings XI Punjab and Gujarat Lions have entered into partnerships with parcel service provider DTDC Express and ridesharing company Uber, respectively.

According to Indian newspaper the Economic Times, DTDC will serve as Kings XI Punjab’s official logistics partner, with its branding to feature on the team’s trousers as part of the agreement.

As part of its deal with the Lions, Uber has launched an uberLions product to provide fans with travel to and from games.

Uber will also launch the #RequestRideRoar campaign, which will give fans the opportunity to meet players and win match tickets.

The lengths of the deals were not disclosed, but the partnerships will at least cover the 2017 IPL season, which got underway last week.
