InfrontRingier to sell Basel tennis event’s sponsorship rights

The InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment agency has struck a long-term deal to offer the main sponsorship packages of the Swiss Indoors Basel ATP World Tour 500 men’s tennis tournament.

InfrontRingier, a 50-50 joint venture between the Infront Sports & Media agency Swiss media group Ringier, will offer the packages on a national and international basis. InfrontRingier will work closely with the sales teams of parent company Infront Sports & Media to market the international packages.

The tournament was recently promoted to ATP 500 World Tour series status. Swiss Indoors Basel president Roger Brennwald said: “This promotion was a quantum leap towards putting Swiss Indoors on the international stage. Considering the international competition, it is important to strengthen and promote the reputation of our tournament. We are convinced that InfrontRingier is well positioned for this complex task and will stand up to the challenge.”

InfrontRingier managing director Armin Meier added: “Sponsors have an opportunity to align with a premium platform, both engaging with enthusiastic spectators on-site and benefitting from cumulative audiences of several million worldwide.”

Roger Federer won the 2014 Basel ATP World Tour 500 title on Sunday, claiming a sixth career victory in his home tournament.
