Indosat connects with Inter Milan and Arsenal

English Premier League club Arsenal and Italian Serie A team Inter Milan have secured partnerships with Indonesian telecommunications operator Indosat.

The two-year partnerships, running across the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, grant Indosat a number of club-related benefits and incentives to offer to its customers, as well as Arsenal and Inter fans in Indonesia.

This includes the opportunity to win signed merchandise, match tickets and a range of exclusive match and player content, from highlights to club news, interviews and photography.

Arsenal chief commercial officer Vinai Venkatesham said: “Arsenal has a huge following in Indonesia and following our 2013 pre-season tour, which saw the team travel to Jakarta, the fan base has grown significantly.

“More Indonesian fans follow Arsenal on Facebook than in any other country and we are delighted that our commitment to, and popularity in, Indonesia has been recognised through this agreement. Partnering with Indosat will allow us to further grow and engage with our supporters in Indonesia through the delivery of unique Arsenal content across Indosat’s extensive mobile network.”

Inter is owned by Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, who acquired the club in October 2013.

Richard Lamb, Inter’s managing director for the Asian market, said: “Indonesia is a huge market for us where we boast a large fan base and our biggest Inter Club with over 9,000 members has just celebrated its 12th anniversary.”
