Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company has expanded a deal with the Texas Rangers to become the naming rights partner for the Major League Baseball team’s new ballpark.
Due to open in April 2020, the venue will be known as Globe Life Field until at least 2048.
Globe Life already holds the naming rights to the Rangers’ current home at Globe Life Park, which is adjacent to the new ballpark. This arrangement will remain in place until the team relocates to the new venue.
As part of the expanded deal, Globe Life will continue as the official life and heath insurance company of the Rangers.
In November 2016, Globe Life also took on naming rights to the franchise’s new MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Sports Complex. The facility is now known as the Globe Life Training Center.
