The German Hockey Federation (DHB) has named hypermarket chain Real as its new main partner.
The agreement, which commenced with the recent German Championship tournament in Stuttgart, will run for an initial two years.
The deal also includes the men’s and women’s Indoor World Cups, which began yesterday (Wednesday) in Berlin. The Wir sind Real (We are Real) message will feature on the front of Germany’s shirts during the tournaments. Real will also promote nutrition and fitness as part of the agreement.
Germany is a leading hockey nation, with its men’s and women’s teams both picking up a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 summer Olympic Games.
